Eye candy

Lots of creative blogs are offering us great eye candy, so I decided to dedicate an ATC to… eye candy:

Fairy wonderland

Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge wants us to create a fairy wonderland. Here’s my atc:

Every fairy wonderland needs a bit of bling, so I added some Diamond Stickles:

My boy lollipop

Dilly Beans wants us to be inspired by a song. I’ve been listening to the ‘album top 500’ all evening, so plenty of inspiration to go by. This song hasn’t popped up (yet), but that Dilly Beans image just screamed to be picked to illustrate this particular song!

I also would like to enter this atc into the ‘PunkyouGirl challenge: Things with wings‘.

Thanks for popping in!

My favourite winged creatures

I had this lovely butterfly postage stamp that I wanted to use on an atc, so I decided to combine it with stamped images of dragonflies and mail art stamps.

The background is painted with gesso and sprayed and dripped with Dylusions inks. The edge of the card has been gold embossed.

This is my entry for the following challenges:

Stamps used

  • Postcard : Stampendous
  • Dragonflies: The artistic stamper
  • Spread your wings postage mark: Crafty Individuals
  • Grid: Stampers Anonymous

Longing for sunshine

We’re probably all dreaming of a white Christmas here in Belgium, but we’re only getting rain, rain and more rain!  This foul weather really makes me long for bright and sunny days, so I thought it’d be fun to show you one of my springtime/summer projects.

Colourful butterfly ATCs

Here’s a series of ATCs I haven’t shared on my blog yet:

Out of a hat creations wonders what our favourite technique or product is. I have so many, but I’ve recently discovered the Dylusions sprays and I instantly fell in love with them. The colours are so bright and I really love how the sprays react to water. This is also my entry for ‘winged things’ challenge over at ‘Crafty Cardmakers‘. The butterflies and all other stamps are Stampers Anonymous.

Shiny fairies

‘Do you believe in fairies?’ is this fortnight’s theme over at ‘Fun with ATCs‘ and Hels over at  ‘Sunday Stampers‘ wants to see something shiny. It was an excellent excuse for me to try out the new Brilliance inks I’ve recently bought:

Unfortunately, the subtle sparkle of the Brilliance inks is hard to capture on scan.

Stamps used

  • Fairies, flowers: Lavinia
  • Sentiment: Quietfire
  • Script background: Darkroom Door

3 flowers and fairy silhouettes

The Less is more challenge focuses on 1 layer cards featuring ‘3 of something’ and the Cheerful Stamp Pad wants to see silhouettes. Here’s a fairy silhouette card featuring 3 flowers and 3 colours of Distress ink (Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Broken China):

I decided to create a matching envelope:

Thanks for looking!

Stampotique butterfly easel ATC

Here’s my first easel ATC:

This time I’ve really stepped out of my comfort zone. Let me explain you why:

  • Pink is a colour that I don’t use very often
  • I usually create my own stamped backgrounds, but this time I used patterned papers instead
  • I hardly ever use any embellishments, let alone create my own, but for this atc I created my own flowers using the Tim Holtz flower diecut  following the first couple of steps of this tutorial. It looks more difficult than it is, you really should give it a try!
  • I’ve never created folded cards before, so this is my first easel ATC based on this tutorial and I must say it was great fun!

I’d like to enter this atc into the following challenges:
