Number of the beast

Currently ‘Haunted Design House’ is celebrating its milestone of reaching 666 followers and I really wanted to join the party. They chose the Iron Maiden song ‘Number of the beast’ as their theme for this fortnight’s challenge. I really had to wreck my brain, but last night I finally came up with an idea!

Here’s my interactive  house shaped ATC :

World Cup 2014

Lots of guys are currently under the spell of soccer. Everywhere in the country people assemble to watch the game together and hope for a victory so as to be able to indulge in celebrations.

I made this clean and simple card for a guy who totally loves soccer:

WK2014

At this very moment, Belgium is playing against Algeria, but, to be honest, things don’t look too good for us. Let’s hope the Red Devils will be able to get their act together and score, for otherwise my card will have been to no avail and there will be no celebrations at all…

I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stamps used

  • Monsters: Stampotique
  • Scratches: Stampers Anonymous

EDIT:

The Belgian Red Devils did manage to win after all! 1-2 for Belgium. 🙂

Friendly monsters

Lots of people find monsters scary, but to me they are not! I find them mostly funny and adorable and they make me SMILE!

I’m so glad that So Artful Challenges focuses on ‘friendly monsters’ this month. Here’s my ATC (the colours are a bit brighter in person, especially the neon pink):

I used stamps and spray inks by Dylusions.

I hope this friendly monster made you smile!

Stampotique ATC

I know, I’ve been a bad, bad blogger! I’ve been creating loads of stuff for swaps the past few months, but I never seem to get around to blogging anymore… Since the ‘death’ of Google Reader, I’ve lost track of the creative blogs and challenges that I was following before. But I now switched to The Old Reader, so I’m hoping to get back on track again.

Let’s start with a good old favourite of mine: the Stampotique Designers Challenge. SDC#119 focuses on ATCs. You all know that I LOOOVE creating Stampotique ATCs, so I can’t miss this opportunity now can I?

Here’s my entry for challenge n° 119:

Thanks for looking!

You make my heart happy

And still more hearts to come!   Stampotique Designers Challenge # 85′ wants us to do whatever makes us happy. There’s no doubt that crafting makes me very happy… especially creating ATCs for swaps with creative people all over the world!  Moreover, Kira’s cute little monsters always make me smile.

ATC_StampotiqueHeartMonstersAs the monsters have been paper pieced and my ATCs features a  Hero Arts sentiment, I’d also like to enter this ATC into the Blog named Hero ‘Snip N’ stick’ challenge.

Happy Holiday Season!

I know, I’ve been neglecting my blog and my google reader of late, but I’ve been very busy creating cards for the Holiday Season.
I must admit I’m not a Christmas kind of person, but I always  succeed in finding a way to give my holiday cards a bit of a twist and in the end I’m having loads of fun creating them!

This year, Stampotique plays the leading part in many of my Christmas cards!
Stampotique Designers Challenge #77 is all about our favourite sentiment and there’s no doubt that my current favourite is the one I used on the following card(s):

JingleRectangle1

Moreover, Stampotique Designers Challenge #78 wants us to use non traditional stamps for Christmas. This cute little hat (featured on the Christmas 5 sided cube) gives any of the Stampotique characters a festive look!

I used Dylusions sprays for the backgrounds and added a bit of texture using golden acrylic paint. The anarchy signs were created using bottle caps and an old credit card. Mink and Little hoo-hoo have been coloured using watercolour pencils.

I’d also like to enter both cards into the Poisoned Peas Please ‘Twisted holidays’ challenge.

With these cards, I’d like to wish you all a wonderful Holiday Season!

Beware of the Stampotique monsters

I’ve been playing around with some new Stampotique stamps I’ve recently bought. I made 3 cards and 1 ATC for different challenges. Here they are:

For CAS-ual Fridays: ‘Square shaped card’

For Less is More: ‘1 layer – fur or feathers’

Distress Markers on watercolour paper.

For the Stampotique Designers Challenge: sketch & for Speedy Fox and Friends: ‘Dots’

Dylusions Spray background. Monsters coloured using sequin waste and summer seasonal Distress ink colours and distress markers.

For Make My Monday: colour challenge Yellow, Green, Fuchsia

Dylusions Spray background (top) and acrylic paint background (bottom). Monsters coloured using sequin waste and summer seasonal Distress ink colours and distress markers.

I adore these monster stamps, that’s pretty obvious I guess… They are cute and cool at the same time and they are so versatile! And they have the perfect size for ATCs!
