Autumn leaves

Hopefully I’m not too late for the Sunday Stamper’s challenge ‘Leaves’! Since my ATC swap partner let me know that she has received my ATC,  I can safely share it with you now. This is also my entry for the October challenge of The Artistic Stamper  ‘Autumn colours’.

This was actually the first time that I tried this background technique with Deli paper and I loved it!

The leaves were punched out of card stock to create a kind of dry embossed effect and the only actual stamp I used is that of the mushroom (Stamp Francisco).

Mushroom Fairy

I previously made four ATCs for an Autumn Swap, but I’m pretty sure they will never arrive at their destination, so I started out making some new ones. (Ok, my own fault, I realised that there was no postage stamp on the envelope the moment that I let go of the envelope in the mailbox… and my address wasn’t mentioned on the back of it either…)

So with renewed inspiration, another fall ATC:

I’d like to enter this ATC to the Simon Says Stamp and Show “whatever makes you happy” challenge. What makes me happy (amongst other things)  is… making ATCs, stamping, masking, sponging, colouring with an aqua pencil and embossing.

This ATC also perfectly fits Crazy Amigo’s “Fall” theme.

Stamps used

  • Fairy (winged Cube):  Stampers Anonymous
  • Mushroom, fairy ring: Stamp Francisco
  • Leaves: Clear Choice

Decorated envelope

I’m participating in an autumn swap at the ATCsforAll-forum and I decided to decorate the envelope in which I’ll send my ATCs.

I kept it very simple, for I think the beauty of the leaves (Clear stamps by Clear Choice) and the autumn colours (ColorBox Petal Points fluid chalks) speaks for itself.

I’d like to enter this to the Sunday Stampers “Autumn” challenge.

Inside the envelope there will be 3 ATCs like this and one extra ATC.

Gingersnap Creations Creative Connection “Only one”

I am participating in a GC Creative Connection. I heard about this month’s GCCC – Only One – from the Gingersnappers themselves. Why not play along? Post a creation to your blog mentioning my post and the Creative Connection post on Gingersnap Creations. Let’s all craft it forward and see how far we can get this connection to go!

This month’s challenge is just to use one stamp as many times as you want. Using one stamp is exactly what I did for this Autumnal ATC and I only used it once.  It’s the Inkadinkado sentiment stamp which I stamped on acetate coloured with Alcohol inks.  I  used two red skeleton leaves on orange cardstock as a background for the sentiment. I used six eyelets to assemble the card and I used fibers to frame my ATC. This creation is very unlike me, but I do adore exploring other techniques, other media, …

So, if you see this on my blog and you feel like creating a “one stamp” papercrafting piece of art, please mention that you learned about this creative connection on my blog and craft it forward!

Autumn foliage

When you look outside, there’s no denying it’s autumn! I made this Autumn ATC with an Inkadinkado sentiment stamp and some metallic embellishments I bought at the book fair “Boekenfestijn” in Brussels last week.

The sentiment was heat embossed using black, copper and gold embossing powders. I stamped the leaves (Clear Choice) with Color Box Fluid Calk inks and added a fininishing touch using  Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress inks. I slightly altered the colours of the embellishments using alcohol inks.

I’d like to enter this ATC to the following challenges:
