Number of the beast

Currently ‘Haunted Design House’ is celebrating its milestone of reaching 666 followers and I really wanted to join the party. They chose the Iron Maiden song ‘Number of the beast’ as their theme for this fortnight’s challenge. I really had to wreck my brain, but last night I finally came up with an idea!

Here’s my interactive  house shaped ATC :

I’d like to enter this ATC into the following challenges:

  • Spider: Martha Stewart
  • Checkers: Stamp Francisco

What happened to the Cheshire cat?

It seems he’s been domesticated by Steampunk Alice!

Here’s a picture that shows the true colours and texture a little bit better:

This is my entry for the following challenges:

  • Steampunk Mabel and Cheshire Cat: Octopode Factory
  • Sentiment: Oxford Impressions

Thanks for looking!

Twinkie X 3

Last week, I had lots of fun playing with my Stampotique stamps! Twinkie and Kitty totally stole my heart! I created 3 ATCs and I’d like to enter each of them to a different challenge  :

Twinkie and Kitty in orange green and purple for Inkurable Stampers

Twinkie and Kitty featuring a tag for the Stampotique Designers challenge

Twinkie featuring stripes for Simon Says Stamp and Show

Sorry for the bad pics.  Since the scan didn’t want to render the colour orange correctly (cfr. Twinkie’s shirt on the second ATC), I took photos of the two other ATCs instead.

Halloween card

Are you also counting down the days to Halloween? I’m certainly enjoying creating creepy ATCs and cards!

Here’s a quick card I made for the following challenges:

I used a circular die cut as a mask and sponged the moon and the nightsky with Distress inks. I used Tim Holtz masks to sponge the witch and the cat. I stamped the Tim Holtz’ bats and Halloween sentiment and added a few dots with a white gel pen.

Inspired by music

The Three Muses wanted us to be inspired by a song. That certainly is not a problem for me, for music plays a very important role in my life. I could  create at least 100 projects inspired by songs, if only I had time to do so.

The song that inspired me this time was “The Lovecats” by The Cure.

This ATC is so much UNlike me!  The cats image is a stamp that I normally would not be inclined to use, the colours pink and yellow are not exactly my favourites either and I am not very fond of smearing ink on my craft sheet and getting dirty. But this ATC just needed all of that and I  love stamping so much that all  types of stamps, colours and techniques become appealing to me!

Here’s my source of inspiration:

The Cure – The Lovecats (video)
I wanted to embed the video into this post, but I didn’t manage.

Stamps used

The cats are by Inkadinkado.
The letters are Clear Stamps by Gaïa.
The squares for the border is a stamp I created myself using leftovers of unmounted rubber stamp sheets.
