Rusty heart

Stampotique Designers Challenge # 82 focuses on  die cuts and punches and Wicked Wednesday has chosen ‘Gothic Love’ as this fortnight’s theme. I really enjoyed making this rusty heart ATC:

ATC_RustyHeart

I used wrinkle free distressing to create the background and overstamped it with a script stamp (Darkroom Door). I stamped the Stampers Anonymous mosaic stamp with Brilliance ink on a torn piece of crimson paper.  I used a Tim Holtz mini heart die to cut the shape out of golden cardstock, which I then dry embossed using the cuttlebug ‘clockworks’ folder. Next, I heat embossed the raised parts with copper embossing powder to create a rusty look.

That’s the kind of Valentine’s heart I like, I hope you do too!

Colourful butterly and flowers atc

Again an ATC to share with you:

In reality, there’s a bit of bling involved, for the silhouette flowers on both the square and the background were inked with distress inks and sprayed with perfect pearls before being stamped.

I’d like to enter this atc into two challenges:

 Stamps used

  • Butterfly: The Artistic Stamper
  • Silhouette flowers: Hero arts
  • Script background: Darkroom Door
  • Papillon sentiment: Katzelkraft

Dragonfly

Soartful Challenges provided us with a beautiful image of a dragonfly. I’m not entirely sure whether they prefer us to use the image or whether we can enter anything that fits the theme. Anyway, I chose the latter option, I hope that’s ok.

This dragonfly was also created for an  ”insect swap” over at the Yahoo-group “Creatief met stempels”. Again, there’s some gold bling on the wings, which doesn’t show on the picture.

  • Dragonfly: Cherry Pie
  • Mosaic stamp: Stampers Anonymous

Two colours

Here’s an ATC that uses two of my favourite colours: blue and purple for  The Stamp Man “take two colours”  challenge.

This dragonfly already found a new home, for it was created for an  “insect swap” over at the Yahoo-group “Creatief met stempels”.  As always, the scan doesn’t do it much justice:  for there’s some bling involved. I’ve added purple Perfect Pearls to the wings and then I covered them using Glossy Accents.

  • Dragonfly: Cherry Pie
  • Mosaic stamp: Stampers Anonymous
  • Background text stamp: Crafty Individuals
  • Sentiment: Scrolls Work.

Stamped collage butterfly

How I love things with wings! Made another ATC that’s meant to fly to the UK in order to be a part of The Stamp Man ATC swap.

I also would like to enter it to the collage stamping challenge set by the wonderfully talented Ink Stained Roni.

For the colours I sought inspiration in the Just For Fun colour scheme. JFF suggests one of my favourite colour combos: yellow, orange and brown.  I added a bit of gold embossing too, for I love combining gold with orange and brown.

I used “glossy accents” to make the butterfly pop. Here’s another view that might show that a little bit better (sorry for the reflecting light).

Stamps used

  • Butterfly: Stamp Attick
  • Swirl and background script: Crafty Individuals
  • Mosaic and scrap stamp: Stampers Anonymous
  • Sentiment: Scrolls Work

Purple and green dragonfly

Here’s my last minute entry for the Play Date Café purple, lila and lime colour challenge.  I didn’t even have time to “assemble” my ATC properly, for the glossy accents on the wings of my dragonfly hasn’t completely dried yet…

I think this purple and green dragonfly is going to make a journey to the UK, so as to join The Stamp Man ATC swap, theme “wings”. And it will probably get the company of some other winged creatures, that might be less sweet than the one above…
