Spiderman is having me for dinner tonight…

Hello there, don’t be scared! It’s just a journal page dedicated to ‘Lullaby’, a song that is very special to me because it introduced me to The Cure in 1989 and I’ve been a big fan of their music ever since. We will even be heading to the UK for a special concert in the Royal Albert Hall in March…I’m so looking forward to it!

This is my entry for the current ‘Rock N Rolla challenge’ at the Smeared and Smudged forum.  I’d also like to enter this page into the ‘Hit the right note’ challenge currently running on the Craftitude challenge blog.

Here’s the video that inspired me :

Card inspired by the Less Is More header

Hurray, there were 5 Saturdays in June and so there’s an extra week in which the Less is More challenge is sponsored by Stampotique!  The challenge this week: take the Less is more header as your inspiration. Here’s my take on the theme:

As you can see, I went with the colours black, white and gold, flourishes, musical notes and a script font for the sentiment.

Stamps used

  • Musical notes: All night media
  • Flourishes: Crafty Individuals
  • Sentiment: Tim Holtz

Clean and simple

One of the ladies of the yahoo-group ‘Creatief met Stempels‘ challenged us to create a clean and simple (CAS) card focusing on music. I combined this challenge with the CAS-challenge ‘Less is more‘, who wants to see a one layer card featuring stripes.

This card also fits the challenge ‘Music’s in in the air’ set by Irish Teddy’s.

Stamps used

  • Stripes: Tim Holtz
  • Girl: Art Journey
  • Sentiment, G clef: Darkroom door

Harmony

I’m doing a personal swap with one of the members of Yahoo-group Creatief met stempels.  We compiled a list of 12 themes and 12 techniques and we agreed on creating 12 ATCs combining any of the themes with any of the techniques. For this ATC I combined the theme ‘Music’ with the technique ‘Peeled paint’.

I’d like to enter this ATC to the following challenges:

Stamps used

  • Mozart (Unknown)
  • Piano & sentiment (Darkroom Door)
  • Musical notes background (Posh Impressions – All Night Media)

Gothic arch Music

As it’s my first post of 2011, I wish you and your familiy a wonderful year 2011! Throughout 2010 you’ve been inspiring me with your beautiful works of art and I’m sure you’ll continue to do so in 2011!

It’s official now, we’re 2 January 2011 and I still haven’t finished my 24 Inkurable Stampers gothic arches… Still 8 to go, but I will finish  them all, I’m sure, albeit at my own pace! Here’s my entry for the last theme of the year, which was “music“.

For the background I used the peeled paint technique.

I also would like to enter this arch to the  “Take a word” challenge, for last week’s word happened to be “music”.

Stamps used

  • Mozart (Unknown)
  • Design scrap & square collage frame (Tim Holtz)
  • Piano & sentiment (Darkroom Door)

Music & Roses

Weekend ATC wants to see Music & Roses, so I created the following atc. I also would like to enter this ATC to the Crafty Cardmakers “Least & Most” challenge. Pink is definitely the colour that I use least. The colour brown on the other hand is a colour that I almost never wear, but that I often use when I’m stamping.

Stamps used

Violin, harmony, G-clef (Darkroom Door)
Musical notes background (Posh Impressions – All Night Media)
Rose, torn edge (Scrolls Work)

First tag ever

I’ve never created a tag before, but I really wanted to participate to DragonsDream Blogaversary,  so here’s my first tag ever. The theme for this week’s challenge at DragonsDream Tag It On was “Journey with a ticket to ride“. I don’t have any ticket stamps or ephemera, but I did create a tag depicting a particular country that I’d like to visit. See for yourself, I’m sure it’s not that difficult to guess!
