Glow in the dark heads

Yesterday I had great fun creating this creepy CAS card in black, white and red :

I actually painted the heads with glow in the dark paint and so this is how the card looks when it’s darker (difficult to capture on photo though):

This is my entry for the following challenges:

Stamps used

  • Heads: Stampotique
  • Pointy hat: Scrolls Work

B/W + 1 colour

Here are two ATCs that I haven’t shared on my blog yet:

For the 3 muses ‘Black, white and a dash of colour’:

For Out of  a hat creations ‘Black, white and 1 other colour’:

Card inspired by the Less Is More header

Hurray, there were 5 Saturdays in June and so there’s an extra week in which the Less is More challenge is sponsored by Stampotique!  The challenge this week: take the Less is more header as your inspiration. Here’s my take on the theme:

As you can see, I went with the colours black, white and gold, flourishes, musical notes and a script font for the sentiment.

Stamps used

  • Musical notes: All night media
  • Flourishes: Crafty Individuals
  • Sentiment: Tim Holtz

Some spooky soot ATCs

Soot stamping is such a great technique for creepy ATCs! I used it to create the following ATCs:

Traditional soot technique

For the above ATC I used real photo paper instead of glossy crafting paper. Photo paper is actually not suitable for this technique, for it crackles and rapidly gets burnt. But I like the effect in this particular ATC.

Reverse soot technique

I’d like to enter these ATCs to the following challenges:

Stamps used

  • Trees with raven: Stampendous
  • Graveyard and sentiments: Cherry Pie

Play chess

Again an ATC for the “squares” swap @ Creatief met Stempels.

When I think of squares, I think of chess and when I think of chess, I think of black and white… Coincidentally, B&W is also the current challenge @ The Three Muses.

Stamps used

  • Checkers background: Stamp Camp
  • Queen & pawn:  Stampinback
  • Sentiment: Art Journey

Zentangle

The fun thing about challenges is that you constantly discover new techniques and… well, challenge yourself! Lots to Do set “zentangle” as its theme this week and I was absolutely looking forward to try this out. So I started doodling, but being a stamper I felt I had to include at least one stamped image (The eye by “Art Journey) as a focal point.

I really loved creating these and I can image I will be doing more of them in the future. But then I really shall have to buy a  felt tip pen with a smaller tip, so that I can add more detail.
