Soot stamping is such a great technique for creepy ATCs! I used it to create the following ATCs:
Traditional soot technique
For the above ATC I used real photo paper instead of glossy crafting paper. Photo paper is actually not suitable for this technique, for it crackles and rapidly gets burnt. But I like the effect in this particular ATC.
Reverse soot technique
I’d like to enter these ATCs to the following challenges:

I’ll have to wait almost an entire year until next Halloween, but there are still a few Halloween-themed challenges going on. This creepy graveyard ATC is my entry for Lots to do and Weekend ATC.
The background is painted with Twinkling H2Os and the Cherry Pie images and the Tim Holtz bats are stamped with black Stazon.
I’ve been experimenting with the soot technique lately (See also: https://artyventure.wordpress.com/2010/09/22/playingwithfire/) and this was actually my first result.
All stamps are by Cherry Pie, except for Tim Holtz’ bats.
The current theme @ Inspiration Avenue is “Uncalled for“. I guess there doesn’t exist anything which is more “uncalled for” than death itself…
I also would like to enter this ATC to the “Dark/gothic and/or halloween” challenge @ Theme Thursday.
Thanks for looking!
Over at Darkness Inspiration, Nans wanted us to explore graveyards. Great opportunity for me to play with some of my favourite Cherry Pie stamps!
