This week, Studio L3 focuses on the Alcohol Ink Monoprint technique explained in Tim Holtz “Compendium of Curiosities”. Here’s my take!
I used Adirondack alcohol inks lettuce, stream and wild plum to create to background. I also tried to give it extra texture by stamping “suds” (Stamp Camp) with versamark, but unfortunately the scan doesn’t show this.
I made a collage using the following stamps:
- Beauty Muse (Cherry pie)
- Butterfly (Artistic Stamper)
- Mystery (Lost Coast Design)
- Definition “Beauty”(Stamp Camp)
- Art (Darkroom Door)
- Mosaic (Stampers Anonymous).
The edge of my ATC was coloured using a copper paint dabber.
Gorgeous. Love those colours and stamps.
Oh, how COOL! I love the stamps, and the collage you created with them is fantastic! Your monoprint is gorgeous, too– great color combo and a real “dream-like” feel.
I’m so happy you played along with the third Challenge, and I hope you’ll be back for week 4!
Hugs,
Linda
